Mentorship Program

Garden Veterinary Services Ltd. have an interest in mentoring students. Formal and/or informal mentorship is done with a view of enhancing professional development.

Mostly students on attachment/placement/internship benefit from this program. Secondary and primary school students interested in the veterinary profession may also benefit from this program. Other than students guest mentorship may also be made on arrangement.

The mentorship schedule is always arranged between the mentor and the mentee for their convenience.

Guest Lectures

Garden Veterinary Services Ltd staff and/or students occasionally have lectures on various subjects within their expertise to present observations, new technology, appraisals, training etc. Guests are also invited to elaborate on these subjects and enhance the participation. The areas the lectures are based on include subjects in the veterinary practice, business management practice, information technology, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Auditing (EA), Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) etc.

Student Training

Garden Veterinary Services Ltd has since 1993 provided training undergraduate veterinary students, diploma students and certificate students in animal health whenever a chance arises as a way of giving back to the community.


 

The students are expected to follow an established program formulated by Garden Veterinary Services Ltd. All work ethics pertaining to offering of vet services must be adhered to in endeavor to alleviate animal suffering.

 

We take undergraduate students between June and September.

We will be updating this site announcing the availability of placement opportunities every year. Any applications coming in from now onwards will be for the year 2012 placements. Since there are limited positions we handle applications on a first come first served basis. Gender preference for the positions is 50:50.
