Dr. Mwikali is the Managing Director of Garden Veterinary Services Ltd. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Medicine (1988), a Masters in Veterinary Medicine(Entomology) (1995) from the University of Nairobi, and a Masters of Business Administration(Strategic Management) from the United States International University. In addition she holds diplomas in project management, human resources, marketing, business administration and public relations. She is a registered environmental assessment lead expert. She is a member of KVB,KVA, APSEA and KSPCA

She has been running Garden Veterinary Services Ltd since 1996 and has a wealth of experience in emergency surgical operations, pet care, artificial insemination and strategic management. Her cattle clients and office colleagues call her “The Best Bull in Town” owing to her luck in producing heifer calves with artificial insemination.Mwikali worked with the government of Kenya in the public sector from 1988 to 1990 in Machakos District and then moved to teaching at the Animal Health and Industry Training Institute (AHITI) from 1990 to 1996. From 1996 she became the manager of Garden Veterinary Clinic. She and her partner Dr. JC Mugachia have seen and nurtured the vet services business from a one-room office to an animal hospital.Through her stewardship, Garden Veterinary Services and herself have won several awards of excellence. Mwikali is married to Dr. J.C.Mugachia with 3 grown children. She likes to read professional journals, listening to music and enjoys playing badminton at her spare time.


Dr. Joseph has about 21 years of experience in animal health and production practice, university teaching, environmental management, programme management, resource mobilization and leadership. He graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 and Master of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology in 1992 from the University of Nairobi. He is the chairman of Garden Veterinary Services Ltd. Joseph has worked with Garden Veterinary Services Ltd since 1992 when he co-founded it with his wife Dr. Mwikali as Garden Veterinary Clinic.

Joseph has worked with the Government of Kenya as a veterinary officer in Lamu District (1988), University of Nairobi as a lecturer of Pharmacology and Toxicology (1989-1997), the United Nations in Iraq, Jordan, Cyprus (1989-2003) as programme observer and consultant, United Nations in Nigeria as country coordinator for Avian and Human Influenza (2007), Infotrack East Africa Ltd as CEO (2008- to date) and as an independent resource mobilizer (2009- to date). In 2007, he contested for the Kigumo Constituency Parliamentary seat.

Joseph was the national chairman of the Kenya Veterinary Association in 2005/2006 and a member of the National Executive Committee in 2004/2005.

Joseph loves meeting people, swimming, reading various materials, walking, playing basketball and badminton, karate, listening to music, gardening and travelling.


She is the secretary of GVSL. She holds a Certificate in secretarial duties and Business Administration. She is well versed with front office matters and customer care. She joined the organization in 2005, having worked in several organizations. In the course of her work she has handled varied customers with different cultural backgrounds and has proved to be a team player. She likes watching movies, chatting with her friends and reading novels during her spare time.


He is the animal and compound attendant at Garden vet and loves what he does. He is an accomplished gardener. He likes to sing during his free time.
